one of my least favorite things about the internet is having to reduce my Texan slang so people don't get confused. When I first joined the forums, I had a few run-ins with communication problems. It was maybe a month after I joined, I was having a polite convo with someone. I mentioned I don't like coke, to which they responded, "what about sprite? if u don't like sprite we'll never get along" me: "nope, like i said i don't like coke" them: "yeah i think coke is nasty too. do u like 7UPs?" me: "dude i've said twice now i don't like coke" them: "yeah...i get that. but what about 7UPs??"
it took us a bit to figure out the confusion. see, in the north they say soda or pop. down here in Texas we call any carbonated drink a coke (which is actually a technically correct term). up north they use coke to say coca-cola.
that was just one of many instances, so i started pulling back on my natural Texas terms/slang when online. once i got in a huge argument with someone who kept trying to tell me y'all'd've isn't a word

We could do that. I just have to steal the dvd player back from my parents cx
Huh. I thought everyone knew that you southerners called all soda "coke". But tbh, sprite and 7-up are nasty.
My friends and I had an amusing conversation at lunch about how MN is stereotypical just the American Canada. Eh cx

oops sorry?? ?
he gives rly good sermons and his jokes are actually funny (unlike old father Bud's, sorry dude)
omg yes. i've had three really good consecutive hair days. my hair has regained it's curl (it was going kind flat) and it formed one of those natural cylinder thingies (when several curls kind mush to form one big coil). unfortunately my roots are kinda greasy/oily so i have to wash my hair tonight :( every time curly hair is washed, it resets but never forms the same way again, so i'll probably lose that beautiful coil (if u can't tell my hair is the one thing i'm vain about)
glad u've had pretty days! has it been humid there lately? i've noticed my skin tends to look nicer (even glow a bit) when it's been humid out and it can reflect your mood subconciously.

Haha no. It was literally snowing a few days ago cx But it's been pretty nice ever since ^^
But yeah it was really nice. Everything was working together perfectly until the day after I showered because my hair gets all poofy and weird the day after e3e Sometimes I wish I had curly hair because it looks really good on a lot of people. Unfortunately my hair is straight and doesn't curl ever :c

@kat: of course my friends and i had a big discussion a few weeks back in chem lab about the 'words' schwoof and schwaf. we were determining which one ment up and which meant down. Ellιє: unfortunately, I can contest that about 50% of the "curly hair" u see isn't natural. There are three main ways to tell: (1) fake-curled hair is very uniform looking, with curls all about the same size, thickness, and tightness (i.e. how "tight" of a coil they are) (2) A lot of times, girls will take the front strands of hair and very loosely curl them back and over (like this) as a way to get the hair out of their face and it still look "flawless". except curly hair doesn't do that natural. it never curls how you want it to. So this is a dead give away. (3) Most of the time, when girls curl their hair, they follow the same pattern/look: big, loose spiral curls. Problem is, they usually make them far too big, and, as mentioned already, too uniform. Natural curls come in varying shapes and sizes, rarely ever as big as "fake curls", and varies just as much in tightness of curls. those cute cylinders naturally form when two curls mush together. So if their hair looks "perfect", it's probably not real (they probably used a ton of hairspray too). Tons of girls fake-curl their hair now. ...this is one of my quirks, inadvertedly
