Does anyone else notice this stuff, or is it just you?

My parents' son also notices this stuff when it does happen. My parents don't experience it as often but stuff does happen to them occasionally in our house. However, paranormal things happen to them more often when we're visiting a relative's house or when we're in Mexico, which I also will share in the future.

Most of mine involve animals, Awhile back after my ferret Stormy died, I was walking across the house and my mom randomly says "Be careful he doesn't fall". I turned around and asked her what she was talking about, she looked at me and said "Where is he?" so of course, I ask her who she's talking about, and she says, "The ferret you had on your shoulder. Looked like Luigi?" But here's the thing, all the ferrets were in the pen, and when she mentioned it, I realized that I could feel claws on my arm, like there was a small ferret trying to hold on, and guess what ferret looked similar to Luigi? Stormy. After Draco, my other old ferret died, I looked in the pen and saw something white run across it, at the time, Draco was the only white ferret I'd had. At around 3:40 this morning, I walked into the bathroom and realized I could hear a cat purring. It would have been normal except that all my cats were shut in my room with my dog. I looked toward the door and thought I saw a brown and black cat looking at me. Tiger, my cat who died a couple years ago, was a brown and black tortie. I've also seen her on top of the lizard tank by the window, and on the floor by the table. I've felt a cat walk past me, but when I look around, there aren't any cats near me. I'll post some more in a minute, but I'll post these now in case my computer decides to crash again.

I get something similar to that, Kat. My black cat, Crash, just up and disappeared last September, and now I think there's a shadow cat following me. Like, I don't outright see it, but something out of the corner of my eye will look like a black cat, and one time my family spent an hour looking for a stray black cat in our house because we thought we saw one running around. I don't think it actually is Crash, but it's nice to have a black cat still around^^

Might not be so much paranormal. A black cat following your family around while unlikely is certainly possible and does make sense.

Now for some more non-animal related ones. July 3 2012, 4:47 am, I was in my room reading a book and I heard this awful scream. I put the book down and looked in the ferrets room, they all were asleep, and obviously none of them had made the noise (It didn't really sound like a ferret, but I couldn't think of anything else in the house that would have screamed.) I asked my parents if they'd heard it but neither of them had. I went back to my room and attempted to go back to my book, hoping to convince myself that I'd imagined it, but the room seemed colder than it should have been for a Florida summer night... then I heard the second noise. It sounded like an old wooden rocking chair. And get this, we didn't have a rocking chair anywhere in the house, or outside it.
I've heard footsteps in the house before. One time I'd gotten up early to watch movies or something, I was at my computer in the living room and I could hear someone walking around in the kitchen. I thought it was probably my mom, but when I looked, there was no one in the room.
Awhile back, I shut the front door and locked it (the regular lock and the deadbolt). The next morning my mom freaked out because I'd left the door open or something, I locked it again and pulled on it to make sure it stayed closed. I went in the other room for a minute or two, came back and guess what? The door was open and both the deadbolt and doorknob were still in the lock position. I asked my mom, but she said that it was impossible and that she hadn't even touched it. That happened like three or four times, but.
A few days ago, I took a glass out of the cabinet, put it on the desk, and filled it with water. I turned around to look at my cat (Or it might have been one of the ferrets, I don't remember exactly.) and heard, like a crunching sound. I looked back at the glass and realized that the top of one side had kind of exploded, and some how all of the water was gone, even though it had been full, there was only a little bit of water on the floor.
About a year ago I guess, I walked into my room and all the doors on my cabinet, dresser, and desk were open.
I think the most scary thing had to have been last year, I woke up at around 7 something in the morning, I heard something in the other room, so I went to see what it was. There wasn't anything there though, so I went back to my room, thinking it was probably just a cat. (This was before I got Gracie and started keeping them in my room.) I shut my door and was walking to my bed when felt something push me. I fell on the floor, but when I tried to get up, it was like I couldn't move or breathe or anything, I could feel something pushing me down... it seemed like it took forever for it to stop, but it probably wasn't that long. I never told my parents about it, I was kind of worried about what they'd say/do and stuff so yeah... it pretty strange.

Um… every so often, less so now, I'll see a little girl out of the corner of my eye Often times when I feel lonely or sad, she'll appear, sort of like a whitish blur Thing is she looks like a younger version of me, just slightly different, you know? What gets to me though, is that I was supposed to have a twin.

These are all creepy.
@kat: I don't know about what pushed you, but it sounds like you were winded.

Might not be so much paranormal. A black cat following your family around while unlikely is certainly possible and does make sense. But see, it's not a cat, like an actual cat. It's just something I see in random places, like in my room or when I'm at work, etc. I think it's probably just my overactive imagination, but it's still interesting to talk about ^^

My auntie used to have paintings of Owls in her living room. We were all in her house upstairs (her, my mother, and I), and we started to hear hooting coming from the living room. When we went downstairs to check it out, and when we were in the doorway, it sounded like the hooting was coming from the area of the living room where the paintings were. The thing is though, there aren't any windows near that part of the living room, and the door leading to outside was far from the paintings as well. My mother shrugged it off and said that it was probably an Owl coming from the outside and in our confusion we're just imagining that it's coming from the painting. So we all went back upstairs. After we went upstairs, every so often we would hear hooting coming from the living room again. I checked every time down there because I really wanted to see which Owl is causing that (owls aren't common in that area and I've never seen one in real life before), but every time I could swear that the hooting isn't coming from outside, but from those paintings. Auntie was still a little weary and scared after we left the house. A few days later she told us that the hooting still happens but now it's during night time and she doesn't know what to do. Even during the thunderstorms that happened during a few of those days she would still hear the hooting clearly in the same area. She would move the paintings to the dining room or the other living room, and every time the hooting sounds like it's coming from wherever the paintings are; so she thinks it really isn't an Owl coming from the outside but the paintings.
A few days later, we got a call saying that her brother had died. She told us that the day that he died was the last day she heard the hooting. The hooting stopped after that. She got rid of the paintings.
In case you didn't know, we're Mexican.
In Mexican culture owls are creatures to avoid and to fear. They're associated with bad luck, witches, and the demonic. But most of all, owls are said to be bringers of death.

A few years ago my parents' son and I were eating in the dining room and we heard what sounded like a young girl crying coming from my room. No one was in my room. -- Several months after that I was in the living room and he came home from the gym. He asked me if I stayed up all night the night before and I told him no and asked him why. He said that while he was getting ready to go to the gym he noticed that our parents were gone so he kept calling my name to wake me up to tell me that he was going so I don't have to wake up and realise myself that I'd be home alone. He never received a response from me and he'd check my room several times and would see me sleeping in my bed with my back turned toward him laying on my side. No matter how many times he'd yell my name I never responded once, and he said that my body wouldn't even move so he assumed I was in a deep sleep or something. He just shrugged it off and went off the gym. I was really confused when he told me this?? Earlier in the morning I went with my parents to this Flea Market and he was still asleep by the time we left the house. My parents and I got back to the house when he was at the gym. My parents' son was home alone when he woke up. I wasn't in the house when he woke up.

Why do you say 'my parents' son?' Is he not a brother or step-brother?
